TAP Zambia Limited employs an average of 400 employees. More than fifty percent of the workforce is from the communities surrounding Chilanga. TAP has gone further to empower the communities by encouraging former employees to form cooperatives which in turn are given various kinds of work within the company. These initiatives have resulted in these individuals being empowered as they are able to earn after leaving the company. All these efforts are aimed at making the individuals more productive and in turn enhance their skills and their livelihood. |

Motivational Schemes - WORKER OF THE MONTH |

TAP believes its greatest asset is the human capital. A number of motivational programmes are in place and among them are: worker of the month, best communicator and worker of the year.

In April, 2006 the worker of the month was Osman Phiri - A driver, and in may the worker of the month was Simon Siabusuki - a charge hand in the Moulded Goods section.
Tokens of appreciation accompany these awards. Besides these awards, Management encourages employees to suggest improvements in all areas of work. Any savings realized from these initiatives results in rewards accordingly.
