WHAT IS ASBESTOS? Asbestos is a fibrous silicate mineral. It occurs naturally in the earth’s crust and is present in two-thirds of the rocks. There are many types of Asbestos fibres. Asbestos fibres are grouped into two groups serpentine and amphibole groups. Each group is distinctively different from the other in physical and chemical characteristics. |
